I spent so much of my life merely wandering through it that it’s a joy to have a true sense of home and belonging in Christ. Even better, I get to share this new heart of mine with the world!
And I gotta say … it’s a delight I never knew I could have!
I wear many hats and give myself plenty of grace to balance them all. When I’m not snapping images or writing down my latest daydream, I’m a homeschool mom and serve my local church in pastoral ministry and women’s discipleship.
Needless to say, life is full of adventures! And I’m on a mission to cherish every minute.
I firmly believe we're meant to thrive in this life, not simply survive it. And I count it an honor to help others in their business journey.
Meet Desiree
Photography took me by surprise.
And I couldn’t be more thankful it did!
I love creative outlets. Painting. Stories. Images. I’m drawn in by the beauty of nature and the elaborately woven colors.
I have fond memories from my younger years when I would stick a camera in everyone’s face to snatch up the memory before it escaped. Those pictures still bring me joy to this day!
However, pursuing a career in the arts never crossed my mind as I wandered through high school and into adulthood. It never dawned on me that being a writer or a photographer was a viable means to build the meaningful life my heart hoped for.
Trust me, the world needed Lumberjack Chris to be a thing!
My hubby is the absolute best!
When graduating high school, I thought I’d pursue a nursing career. But as time went on, nothing felt … right. I was going through the motions because I had no idea what else to do.
Thankfully, the lightbulb finally went off! In 2014, I released my first book, and then in 2019, I had the immense joy of adding photography to my list of passions.
Can we take a moment for me to squeal right here? Eeee!
I’m so grateful to my family for believing in me and for jumping on board every wild adventure I think up.
And I’m deeply blessed by my Heavenly Father, who healed my heart so that I could pursue dreams I never imagined were possible. Thank You, Father God!
